Sigh... Sanjaya's safe. So which deserving AI hopeful will be unceremoniously dumped this week?
I'm disgusted. Sanjaya's safe, and Chris Sligh is eliminated??? What the hell parallel universe am I living in? Uch.
We are quite possibly approaching the end of American Idol. If vftw and Stern have their way, Sanjaya will win, all the real fans will walk, and so will Simon.
Note to Nigel: It's time to rig the votes. Enough is enough.
Better yet, limit the amount of times people can vote, so there's a more accurate accounting of who is truly popular vs who has fans with unlimited time to dial.
...And then there were 9.
I'm tagging this to the bottom of my results post, lest someone think this blog is run by tonedeaf adolescent imbeciles. OK... I've removed the name of the poster to protect the innocent, but I had to share this with all those (myself included) who are mystified by the Sanjaya madness.... This is not a joke... someone just posted this bulletin on myspace.

YAY!! Sanjaya is safe!! I did it again this week! But i am sad because Chris Sligh was one of my fave guys but only one person is gonna win American Idol anyways. GO SANJAYA!! hehe I LOVE SANJAYA and BLAKE! Oh and Sanjaya should've stayed and he did. Trying to tell me Sanjaya should've went home- YEAH RIGHT!

Chris Sligh has an AMAZING voice and an AMAZING personality...I wonder if he made David Hasselhoff cry? LMAO- He should still be on Idol! :(

Yes, it's horrible...it's not fair...and yeah I think this will be the last season because votefor theworst.com and Stern have ruined it for the true fans...
I honestly believe that one should only vote once! I know that I voted twice a couple of weeks ago,but for two different people. I didn't vote this week because I missed Idol. I didn't want to vote on anyone's performance when I didn't see their performance.Know what I mean? I think Sanjaya is getting a little too cocky now. Ooops. He did kinda look like a rooster didn't he? LOL. Molly
molly, in an ideal world, that would work. as it is, people vote for 2 hours straight... so if you only vote once, the jerks voting for the worst (as many times as they can get thru in 2 hours) win. :(
Agree... one vote per person or one vote online, one texted.. I like Chris from the beginning, maybe not as an American Idol, but I do like his style of singing... Like I said before the judges should of never let Sanjaya through... He should of never been in the top 24...
Here's the thing, Sanjya Has All The Teeny boppers, Plus He appears To Be From a wealthy Family who Im Sure Have A Network of callers helping him along. I Truely feel that they need to change the Judging and voting, I think What they shuld do is that the bottom 3 that are pick by fans should on the vote off show have to sing for the judges again, then the judges pick the contestant they feel should go home. JMO But I Feel that if The Show is not changed next year may not happen because in a sense a mockery has been made and we will get a Brittney spears, Some one who is overly helped out in the studio with know Star sound.JMO!

i like the idea christine has, they should do the bottom 3 sing off for the judge, and then maybe the final 4 completely americas vote. that way at least the final 4 are good and deserve to win, sanjaya and haley DO NOT deserve to be in the top 9! What is wrong with america? are all these people that are voting for them going to buy thier cd's when they are released? i think its ridiculous, i mean, look at taylor hicks, he is as big flop because of stupid people voting for the worst or the underdog, come on people this is not a popularity contest, its a contest for the person that can sing that deserves to be an idol!!!
one more thing, i thought it was so funny last night when chris s and haley were standing there and none of the judges knew what to say, paula, you both deserve, then she stopped, you know she wanted to say go home, but its not in her nature to be mean. too funny!!
ahem.. i voted for taylor cuz he was my fave since his first audition, and i thought he was the best.. couldn't understand why vftw picked him, actually.
p.s. ruben and fantasia aren't exactly burning up the charts either.
susan, wouldn't it be nice if they were all honest and said, look, you're not melinda (or, blake or..)... it had to happen sometime. this is just your week.
yeah, no kidding, i mean, come on does phil or haley or sanjaya or even gina and lakisha think they can beat melinda, blake, jordin or chris r, i mean, thats who will be in the final 4 in a perfect world. lakisha was good at first but shes just not bringing it like melinda and jordin and you know chris r and blake will go far with the girl votes, so the others need to just give it up and throw in the towel. especially sanjaya and haley, i just dont see how those two beat out sabrina and stephanie. oh, and one more thing, simon should have put on the wig that ryan wore out there to prove to sanjaya that he can pull it off!!
why do people say all the teenyboppers are voting for Sanjaya? i am a teenager and i ABSOLUTELY HATE HIM!!! I know this happens every year that a bad person gets far, but he is definitely the worst! i hate the people who are with vote for the worst because they are ruining my favoritest show in the whole wide world!!!!!!!

...I agree about Sanjaya and Haley, but as for the rest...Gina is a great performer and she derserves to be in the top 4! The rest of them deserve their shot! Melinda has talent, but she is a typical ....diva (nothing special to make me run out and buy her music), Blake and Chris could be in a boy band, that's about it...they are not extrordinary! And Jordin, come on, that performance was not good Tuesday night...
well, i do agree, gina is pretty good, but melinda is going to go far just based on the judges, blake and chris are great singers and have a huge following and if you would watch the show again, you would see that jordin was not at fault for how bad her performance was, the band was totally off and the back up singers sounded horrible, take them out and jordin was awesome, even randy simon and paula could hear that she did good, but the band and other singers werent good with that song, im sorry, but i dont think gina will make it as far as you want her to, i could be wrong, but the other people are much more liked and they will probably get more votes than she will. chris r is up and down though because alot of people like him for his looks, i think with him being in the bottom 2 last week though people will vote for him more.
